so I actually got this done the day after Thanksgiving uh so I was going to edit Emma & dean for you from blue lagoon the awakening but find it super easy and fun oh so much fun to edit Everlark. so I have loved this song for so many year's and one day I was on my Spotify and this came on and I had just like days before finished reading the books and I remembered a line I from the book I can't remember verbatim today but basically after katniss was extracted from the arena by 13 she wakes up and if I remember correctly she thinks she's in the capital and she grabs a syringe with the intent to kill peeta because him being dead is better then him being in any pain or anymore pain at the hands of the capital so thats why I chose this song because that's well my relation between the song and katniss & peeta because she wanted him free from everything he enevidably would go through. in the books this is clear in 1st reaping she thinks "oh no not him!" or something about "the odds aren't in her favor at all today." all of that was because of katniss but that's what love is right what I mean is peeta may have been reaped in the 1st games (where he played up a romance for the crowd and was nearly killed by kato all to try and protect katniss) but he volunteered in the 2nd he chose katniss everytime. As for the high jacking if the situation was reversed like haymitch said in the books peeta would have done anything to try and get katniss back because he loved her which in my humble opinion is why he gave her the bread. yes she needed him she needed the bread and he was there to give it to her but he gave the girl he loved the bread "the teacher asked who knows the valley song and your hand shot straight up. I watched you walk home everyday after that." also a line that i didn't use "hijacked peeta asks "why would i take a beating like that for you?" because the boy who loved her risked it but it wasn't a risk to the boy it was another choice but no choice at all. thus my title. A double entendre because hijacked peeta's reasoning was completely opposite to the boy with the breads reasoning. also the (how would they *the games* change you) (I don't know) (turn me into something I'm not) these lines are used to convey peeta's change as well as katniss's i find it very sad because at this point in the games noone understood how much these words would haunt them i truly didn't put that together myself about katniss asking how would they change him but I used this audio to contrast how the games changed katniss. on a happier note katniss finnick, peeta & annie got the best the games victory the games had to offer they got love not only love but unconditional love. anyway Andy i hope you have a merry Christmas and happy knew year I love you & godbless you.
