Kathryn Krick has become one of the fastest-growing figures in modern “deliverance ministry,” calling herself an apostle and drawing massive crowds with dramatic manifestations, viral book-signing clips, public “deliverances,” and claims of supernatural anointing. But the question every Bible-believing Christian must ask is simple: is this the Holy Spirit — or another spirit?
Jesus warned that many false prophets would arise and deceive many. Paul warned of “another Jesus,” “another spirit,” and lying signs and wonders. The Bible does not tell Christians to trust every miracle, every manifestation, every preacher, or every emotional experience. It tells us to test the spirits, examine the fruit, and measure everything by the Word of God.
The modern church has been conditioned to believe that shaking, twitching, uncontrollable laughter, falling backward, flailing on the floor, and so-called “slain in the spirit” experiences are evidence of the Holy Spirit. But Scripture says the fruit of the Spirit includes self-control. When people lose control of their bodies, speak gibberish, laugh uncontrollably, convulse, or fall into trance-like states, Christians should not blindly call it revival.
The same manifestations seen in many charismatic churches are also seen in kundalini yoga, Eastern mysticism, hypnosis, New Age energy transfer, and occult practices. The serpent power of kundalini, “qi” energy, trance states, hypnotic suggestion, false healings, and emotional manipulation are not biblical Christianity with different labels — they are counterfeits.
Kathryn Krick’s ministry raises serious red flags: the self-appointed title of “apostle,” the connection to a self-professed prophet, followers bowing before her, people treating her like a spiritual mother, money being connected to deliverance, repeated public manifestations, and people appearing to receive the same “deliverance” again and again.
Acts 8 gives a sobering warning about anyone who thinks the gift of God can be connected to money. When Simon wanted spiritual power, Peter rebuked him sharply: “Thy money perish with thee.” Deliverance is not purchased by sowing a seed. Freedom is not bought through a ministry donation. Jesus already paid the price.
This is not about mocking people who are deceived. It is about warning the church. Satan does not always come with horns, a pitchfork, fear, and darkness. He can come as an angel of light. He can come with tears, goosebumps, music, emotion, signs, wonders, miracles, “love,” “freedom,” and a Jesus that sounds biblical enough to deceive those who do not know the Word for themselves.
Matthew 7:22 says many will stand before Christ claiming they prophesied, cast out devils, and did many wonderful works in His name — yet Jesus will say, “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
The final deception will not look obviously satanic to most Christians. It will look like revival. It will look like power. It will look like miracles. It will look like fire from heaven. But if it contradicts Scripture, bypasses self-control, manipulates the emotions, elevates a human leader, or opens the door to another spirit, it must be rejected.
Test every spirit. Judge the fruit. Know your Bible.
