The Kasbah of the Udayas (also spelled Oudayas or Oudaïas) dates back to the 12th century, originally built by the Almohad dynasty as a military fortress. It later became home to the Udayas tribe, who were brought in by the Alaouite dynasty in the 17th century. The kasbah served as both a military post and residential area, and today it remains a vibrant mix of Andalusian, Islamic, and Moroccan architecture.
