Join us as we step back in time to discover the haunting remnants of Rocky Springs, Mississippi, a once-thriving town along the historic Natchez Trace Parkway. Founded in the late 1700s, Rocky Springs grew into a bustling community of around 2,600 residents during its peak in the mid-19th century, complete with blacksmiths, carpenters, and cotton gins.
But the town’s prosperity was short-lived. Civil War hardships, devastating yellow fever outbreaks, and agricultural disasters like soil erosion and boll weevil infestations led to its rapid decline. By the early 1900s, Rocky Springs was abandoned, leaving behind echoes of the past.
