I've watched the same media playbook unfold in high-profile case after high-profile case: establish the emotionally powerful narrative immediately, choose the image that reinforces it, repeat it relentlessly—and allow the first version of events to become embedded in the public's mind before most people ever see the underlying evidence.
In today's show, I walk through what I believe is that recurring pattern in the cases of DeShawn Leaf, Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, George Floyd, Jacob Blake, and Carmelo Anthony.
