Kao The Kangaroo gets a release date and it's much sooner than expected? This reboot was originally planned to release in Summer 2022. Instead, fans and newcomers will have the chance to play this game even sooner!

A few media outlets got access to a Preview Build and shared new details on gameplay and story elements. Within this build, both IGN and TheGamer had access to a handful of levels. GameByte UK also got access to 55 minutes of Kao The Kangaroo gameplay.

Tate Multimedia was also present at this year's MIX (Media Indie Exchange) and PAX East. The former seemed to showcase a demo from February's Steam Next Fest. The latter gave attendees access to a level called ''The Lava Caves''.

A Special Edition as well as a Collector's Edition are in the works. Kao The Kangaroo is coming on May 27th 2022 to all consoles.
