Kagiso Maema, a trans woman from the North West Province, was brutally murdered on a night out. To date, nobody has been prosecuted for this crime.

Kagiso's story is not only the story of a murder, however, but also the tale of a mother seeking justice for her child, and of widespread violence against South Africa's transgender community.
