In January 2020, Nare Mphela was found dead in her rented room in Mokopane, Limpopo Province.
Nare was a fighter, who after years of court battles against the Limpopo Department of Education, was awarded compensation for her school principal's severe discrimination and the Department's inaction.
Nare was a friend of Iranti, and we have been following her story since the beginning. On Trans Day of Remembrance 2020, we commemorate that story, and say fairwell to Nare in our final video about this remarkable young woman.
