A juvenile Sandwich Tern (Thalasseus sandvicensis) -- possibly a Cabot's Tern (Thalasseus sandvicensis ssp. acuflavidus) -- tries to get food from adult Terns at Bolivar Flats Shorebird Sanctuary, in Port Bolivar, TX, USA.

The juvenile lands with an adult but then moves quickly to another nearby adult that coughs up a whole fish. That other adult flies away with the fish, as does the first adult, and the juvenile wanders around for a bit until it spots another adult near a slightly older juvenile. The first juvenile approaches the adult, but the older juvenile doesn't seem to appreciate that and bumps the younger juvenile. The adult flies away to another spot, and the juvenile walks over to try again, but the adult flies away again.
