Over Labour Day Weekend 2013, the Weston Subdivision (GO Transit Kitchener Line) was closed for construction, so the Toronto-Kitchener-London VIA trains were diverting via the Newmarket Subdivision (GO Transit Barrie Line) and York Subdivision (CN main line).

Here we see the diverted VIA trains slotting in between the regular scheduled weekend GO Barrie Line trains at the level crossing for the York University Busway and the Finch Hydro Corridor Bike Path. Normally the only VIA train on the Barrie line is #1 "The Canadian" from Toronto to Vancouver.
