Sometimes you just have to fly. Sometimes the equipment isn't perfect. But you fly anyways. Sometimes, when life overwhelms you, you step out and you reclaim what you can 2 minutes at a time.
This song means a lot to me. It makes me think of my dad, who is getting older, but as I was flying these two packs both of my sons were standing there with me.
There is an unbroken line of sons going back in time in our family. All of these men, including me, have been flawed in many ways. None of us are perfect, some of us have experienced trauma no person should endure. Some of us left, or were left in turn, only to reunite later. My sons will surely not be perfect, but just as my father made me better than he, I hope that I can make my sons better than me.
What do you do when you don't have perfect equipment or perfect people? You make the best of it. You fly as well as you can.
