Michaels back in town for the weekend and we got to skate one spot with him. The winter storm is about to hit Texas, so while it was fun, it was also.... miserable. Haha.
Arctic cold aside, one quote makes me feel better about braving the elements.
"We don't 'have to,' we 'get to.'"
Ledge spot warm up was fun, but those tubes were hilarious.
It's been saying this for years now, so if you're been watching Jumbo you're aware, I don't just love "bad spots." I love dumb ones.
I love a spot that makes an outsider think, "what spot?"
Pie in the face, looney tunes type spots.
In the skating clips it doesn't look too bad, but in the clip where we're waxing it you can see how huge the gaps are.
The original idea was to grind the top but.... as usual, what I want to do isn't something that I can physically do.
C'est la vie.
The last spot was good Winterclash training.
The big yellow ramp to perfect angle iron ledge.
We're definitely prepared for the contest.
I may have said this in previous posts/live streams, but I'm leaving a lot of clips out. I'm trying my best to film a couple of "real videos" (that also end up on youtube like everything else) this year. Just to say I did it.
Giving something a name and putting music to it makes it real.
