This parade was organized by Joan Stanley and the Bozeman Tea Party committee. I have no idea who shot this footage of the parade, and I apologize for the quality of the video. I am posting it here because it is a record of approximately two thousand Montanans marching up Main Street in downtown Bozeman, Montana, with police security and traffic blocked by permit of City Council.
Far back down Main Street is the Library where this crowd formed to begin the march. It was there that I first met "ernie". He had approached me as the parade was getting underway. ernie was in 1776 Patriot attire and was quite adamant that I should listen to him. His talk was "far-fetched" and irritating to me. I was not interested in his overly-assertive manner of speaking. Little did I know that ernie's debut that day would alter my life in the way it has. Four years from the date of the above parade I filmed the now legendary Three Forks Courtroom scene in which ernie so frustrated the judge that she abruptly got up and left the court room without recessing the court or adjourning, and then stood speechless as ernie walked out of the court and rode away. That video has more then ten million views now on YouTube.

He has proven himself to be a completely self-made individualist with highly unusual approaches to political and governmental analysis, some of which I simply refuse to accept or believe, but all of which I am chronicling because ernie is one of the most colorful characters I've ever met. To date there are more than a hundred-thirty videos featuring ernie on my channel. I do not approve of ernie's style, especially when he is rude to judges and police. But I am documenting his plight and fight, for, whether or not I agree with him in whole or in part, ernie is a living demonstration of a man who is willing to stand up for what he believes to be true. That example is important for all Americans, of whatever stripe, to take to heart in today's world.
So that first meeting was nine years ago now, here in June of 2018. I just wanted to preserve this footage as marking the day when I first met ernie.

And btw, I've already posted a video filmed in front of the Court House at the other end of Bozeman's Main Street, in which Joan Stanley gives the parade her impassioned speech to end the parade. That video is here --
