God demonstrates His strength in our weakness, and that’s demonstrated in the story of Gideon’s battle with the Midianites like no place else in the Bible.
This is the familiar story of the LORD deliberately reducing Gideon’s army to fight a much larger army, so Israel could not boast in its own strength. Through fear, weakness, and impossible odds, God teaches His people that victory belongs to Him alone and that His power is most clearly seen when human confidence is stripped away.
But this is also a spiritual battle against unseen forces, foreshadowing end time events.
