The crossing of the Jordan River is the most significant event in the book of Joshua, and one of the most in the Bible. It symbolizes God’s plan of redemption for the world, and nothing is more important to believers in Jesus than what it represents.
As we read these two chapters, you can feel the excitement, anticipation, and expectation of the people. It’s a familiar story, so we’ll try to approach it with fresh eyes and ask the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of our hearts.
