The holidays are a great time to return to some games that have left a mark on us and from the moment I first played Journey I knew it was special. It's been years since then, so this season I wanted to revisit this short, simple, but deep game and give it the time and attention it deserves. Classic me, I took a bit of an unconventional path at first but it did help form some new perspectives and insights once we circled back around. The sand, snow, scarf, music, companion system, and wordless storytelling all reminded me how much this game can say without saying anything at all. Journey is enjoyable from start to finish and such a gorgeous reminder that even the smallest traveler can still leave an impact!
