Participation boss Jon Hester is back on Radio Slave’s RSPX with the four-track ‘Here and Present’ EP on 6th March 2026. Releasing under his given name since 2009 and first appearing on Rekids’ Techno sublabel in 2018, Hester released two further EPs on RSPX and contributed to a compilation in 2023, making him a core part of the label.
"On the surface, these are four tracks for the dance floor. Conceptually, this EP explores themes of being here and present within yourself, and allowing yourself to embrace the present moment, a practice that feels more important now than ever. The title track's vocal is my own voice repeating "I'm here". In its intended purpose, this phrase has nothing to do with me personally; rather, it serves as a meditative mantra for the listener to repeat within themselves.
"I'm here". Ideally, on a dance floor in good spirits, sharing special times with loved ones around you, or otherwise under any circumstances, you are here and present and keeping on! We move through the smoke and darkness with glances to one another, into the warm togetherness of the morning fog." Jon Hester
Starting with the title track, Jon Hester’s ‘Here and Present’ EP unfolds as a finely balanced blend of techno with warmth, groove, and soul. Taut, rolling drums lay the foundation, with echoing blasts of noise dancing around rhythmic vocal snippets.
‘Through the Smoke’ follows, pairing sharp percussive sounds with moody atmospherics, its siren-like melodies rising and falling, before ‘Glance’ locks into a robust organic groove under shimmering tonal stabs. Closing things out, ‘Fog’ slips into deeper territory, delivering refined, hypnotic minimalism at its best, served over an insistent bouncing bassline.
Raised in the Midwest US, and early years in Chicago and Minneapolis to his current base in Berlin, Jon Hester has built an international profile as a DJ, producer, musician, and dancer, with music released on labels including Klockworks and Tresor, and performances at institutions such as Berghain, fabric, Rex Club, Shelter, Hï Ibiza, and more.
In recent years, he has expanded his output through his label, Participation, a platform for his own productions and collaborations with artists including Cassy, Tadeo, DJ Shufflemaster, Joel Mull, The Advent, Exos, Lady Starlight, and William Arist, while continuing to evolve the dancefloor-driven expression that first inspired him in the ’90s.

Canadian DJ and producer Mike Shannon kicks off the year on Radio Slave’s Rekids with the ‘Off World Synthetics’ EP, landing 16th January 2026 and marking his first appearance on the label since 2023’s ‘Shadow Moves’ for sub-label RSPX. A long-standing force in Minimal and House with a discography stretching two decades, collaborations on Richie Hawtin’s Plus 8, and his own Cynosure and Haunt Recordings labels, Shannon has carved out a reputation as a respected staple in the booth and the studio.
Inspired by Alejandro Jodorowsky and Möbius’ INCAL graphic novels, Mike Shannon’s ‘Off World Synthetics’ EP opens with ‘Synthetic Salsateca’, where a static groove drives a playful, squelching synthline. ‘Back To The Hood’ follows with rattling, mechanical energy, before the flip reveals ‘Off World Sparkle’, with its wonky sequences bending around a rubbery low-end. Closing cut ‘Only Noodles’ pushes deeper into warped clicks, scratches, and subtly shifting textures, rounding off an EP that’s raw, restrained, and devastating in the right hands and on the right system.
Off World Synthetics was greatly inspired by reading the Jarodofsky and Möbius’s graphic novel INCAL. Plus the films Blade Runner and The Lost Boys. The Track Only Noodles has a little sample of Kiefer Sutherland in it. “Theyre only Noodles Michael” Blade Runner and the INCAL both mention the concept of OFF world experiences that inspired me. ![Avision - Get Down [RKD013]
Out now: https://orcd.co/Rkd013
The New York-born, New Jersey-based Avision lands on Radio Slave’s Rekids sublabel REK’D for the first time with the ‘Get Down’ EP, arriving 14th November 2025. The title track emanates pure NYC soul, pairing uplifting vocals with euphoric energy, while ‘Papi’ moves into deeper territory, its stripped-back groove and shadowy stabs giving way to flickers of funky, jazz-tinged warmth.
“‘Get Down EP is simply down to the bones. I think it combines my New York flavor along with a nostalgic but also fresh feel. I am super excited to have this come out on REKD as the brand overall is nothing but timeless, and A class music. Ive been getting amazing reactions across the board on this ep while playing it out, so I amped for everyone to hear it.”
– Avision
Emerging from New York’s club culture, Avision broke through with his ‘Excess’ EP on Beardman Records in 2018 and has since released on Ellum Audio, Crosstown Rebels, Cocoon, and Black Book Records, alongside his own MATTER+ label, which he runs with his cousin Victor Calderone.
Matt Edwards launched REK’D in October 2024 to release no-nonsense house music without the limitations of parent label Rekids. It has since become a home for dancefloor-focused EPs from artists including St. David, Uncertain, James Juke, James Curd, Ketiov, and more. ![Huxley - Pinball [REKIDS286]
Out now: https://orcd.co/REKIDS286
UK producer and DJ Huxley returns to Rekids with the ‘Pinball Skizzard’ EP, arriving 10th April 2026. It follows last year’s ‘MIND G%MES’ EP, which marked his debut on Radio Slave’s label and won support from artists including Enzo Siragusa, Jennifer Loveless, Carista, and Laurent Garnier. Active for over two decades, the Dumb Safari label boss has left his mark, founding the online R Trybe community with Ramin Rezaie/BAKKIS, while boasting label credits including Aus, 20/20 Vision, and collaborator Steve Bug’s Poker Flat.
Huxley opens the ‘Pinball Skizzard’ EP with ‘Pinball’, setting the tone with a hefty House groove, anchored by cavernous bass, and brought to life by old-school vocal touches and bright sax motifs that inject warmth and energy into the mix. ‘Heaven’ follows with a buoyant rhythm, pairing glowing chords and twinkling melodic details with deep, dubby low-end pressure designed to keep bodies locked in motion.
‘Deep Down’ shifts into a slinkier back-room groove, rich in atmosphere and soulful vocal fragments that underline its timeless house feel. Closing track ‘Felix’ rounds things out with a percussive roller built around vocal snippets and subtle tribal accents, delivering a stripped-back but effective finale that fits neatly within the Rekids aesthetic.
Founded in 2006, Radio Slave’s Rekids expanded with the techno-focused Rekids Special Projects in 2017 and its latest sublabel, REK’D, in 2024. With Matt Edwards as sole A&R, Rekids continues to champion emerging and established artists alike, remaining a trusted home for house and related sounds, with recent releases from DJ Minx, Echonomist, Tal Fussman, and more. ![Jewel Kid - In The Dance [REKIDS295]
Out now: https://orcd.co/rekids295s
Malta’s Jewel Kid debuts on Radio Slave’s Rekids with the ‘Explicit Behaviour’ EP on 14th August 2026. It follows two decades carving out his place in the House scene with releases on labels including Abode and Toolroom, while heading up his own Alleanza imprint. He was a winner of the Carl Cox Worldwide Remix Competition and a recipient of the Best Dance Production award at the Malta Music Awards, while his music routinely dominates charts such as the Beatport Top 10.
The title track of Jewel Kid’s ‘Explicit Behaviour’ EP opens with swirling synths, sirens and filtered vocals before erupting into chunky drums, classic piano stabs and crisp percussion, while ‘In The Dance’ channels early Chicago influences through hypnotic vocal hooks, tense synth work and bold analogue grooves.
Closing cut ‘The Tribute’ rounds things off with rolling drums, sweeping filters and fuzzy synth textures that steadily build pressure into another heads-down dancefloor workout. Jewel Kid - In The Dance [REKIDS295]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/uYcegcxccXE/mqdefault.jpg)

![J Choirboy - Loam [RSPX81]

Berlin’s J Choirboy debuts on Rekids Special Projects with the ‘Mammoth’ EP, landing 17th October 2025. The title track taps into the sort of big, muscular club tools that defined Rekids label head Radio Slave’s early career, with fizzing chords hanging above booming kicks and a constant tension built to dominate dance floors. ‘Loam’ is just as heavy, this time with bright chords bouncing off gritty, rolling drums for full-body workouts in the club. ‘Stacco’ sinks into grainy territory with static-charged synths and a swinging kick, perfect for warm-ups or 5 a.m. hypnosis. Closing cut ‘The Miller’ layers liquid chords and perfectly syncopated drums into a vast wall of warm, enveloping Dub.
Rooted in choral traditions but driven by a love for Techno and early rave, J Choirboy channels both musical depth and raw energy into his productions. Now based in Berlin, he has previously released on La Mission, now returning with a strong debut for RSPX via the ‘Mammoth’ EP, which has already won support from the likes of DJ Rolando, Elisa Bee, and Truncate. ![Frankey & Sandrino - Genie [REKIDS273]
Out now: https://orcd.co/REKIDS273
German-Romanian duo Frankey & Sandrino come back to Rekids with the ‘Please’ EP, landing 10th October 2025 alongside a remix from Echonomist. They follow their 2022 ‘Brainscan’ EP on Radio Slave’s label, as well as a remix for Denney in 2023.
With an irresistible bassline, smooth melody, and a nostalgia-fuelled vocal, ‘Please’ is the kind of track you hear as you walk into a busy tent at a festival, hands in the air, energy abundant. Frankey & Sandrino are masters at crafting emotional dancefloor bangers, going a little deeper on the progressive ‘Genie’, building up to busy stabs and mind-melting, futuristic sound design.
Completing the EP, the pair call in Greek DJ and producer Echonomist to remix ‘Please’. The Innervisions and Exit Strategy artist strips the original back, transforming it into a dark, hypnotic groover built for smoke-lit dance floors.
The original had this beautiful Depeche Mode 80s vibe, but for the remix I wanted to take it into a different space, closer to the Detroit sound I love, a bit like Carl Craig’s approach. Something more hypnotic and club-focused, but still keeping the emotion of Frankey & Sandrino’s track. – Echonomist
Frankey & Sandrino are a German duo that has been shaping dance floors since 2009 with their distinct, trend-defying sound. With releases on Kompakt, Diynamic, and their own Sum Over Histories, and regular appearances at clubs like fabric and Stereo, they now return to Rekids with the ‘Please’ EP. ![CASSIMM - Ill Take You There (Club Mix) [REKIDS272]
Out now: https://orcd.co/REKIDS272
London artist CASSIMM returns to Rekids with ‘I’ll Take You There’, landing 26th September 2025. It follows his recent remixes for label boss Radio Slave and his 2024 ‘House of Moves’ EP on the imprint, which won support from the likes of Paul Woolford, Dam Swindle, Jamie Jones, and Laurent Garnier.
CASSIMM’s I’ll Take You There is a chunky House cut with powerful bass and rolling drums, joined by filters which build the vibe while a diva vocal rings out with raw emotion.
