Jon will run through the evolution of DevOps and development progress at Amazon, looking at the early evolution of development at Amazon, details of the building blocks of modern applications including culture, practices and tooling. Finally, he will run through the key requirements for a similar transformation that can be used for other organisations.
Bio: Jon leads the Compute business for UK&Ireland for Amazon Web Services, owning a number of a key area of the AWS business for the region including EC2, Containers, Serverless, HPC, Outpost, Graviton2 and Visual Computing. Prior to joining AWS, he was a Managing Director at Accenture leading our DevOps and Full-Stack Engineering businesses for UK/IR. Before moving into consulting, Jon was in a number of technical roles across Financial Services (Head of Infra at Standard Chartered, Architecture/Engineering at Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, and The London Stock Exchange.
