John Barleycorn Must Die is a centeries-old perennial classic of folklore that is much loved in the Traditional Witchcraft community. Laurelei explores a little of the history and folklore of Sir John, digs into the ballad, and talks about implications for Witches. There's even some sharing of a a favorite (and hard-to-find) version of this ballad (which you can hear in different parts of today's video -- (c) 2006 William L. Holt as Windwood) AND a libation blessing in John Barleycorn's name!
