John 5:25, Gods promise to those who believe and follow Him. ❤️
In the past 2 weeks, I've been with my mom in the ICU, Hospital and then Hospice. She passed on July 21, 2022. Both my younger sister and I were at her side when she drew her last breaths here on this earth. And the moment that happened, my heart filled with joy knowing at that very moment, she was present with Jesus. Even in my sorrow I felt this joy.
To be absent from the body is to be present with our Lord.
My mom was an amazing human. She was an incredible musician, an incredible music teacher, piano teacher, organist, Girl Scout leader, Choir leader for her church and she was even the most talented cake decorator in South Texas during the 70's.
I am the way I am because of her. I loved her creativity and seeing her in action.
In 2019, I wanted to give her what she gave me. The gift of the love of music. I arranged one of her favorite songs, Bridge Over Troubled Water, on the my Array Mbira. link youtu.be/ld664VqeFRo
I drove down to her home for Mothers Day and presented the piece to her in person. I sat with her at the kitchen table while she listened. We had a teary eyed hug afterward. I will miss doing these things with her, but only for a short while. I will see her again and hopefully God will put us both to work for His kingdom creating beautiful music! ❤️
I love you mom!
