Array Chat! In this video I STEP OUT of my COMFORT ZONE and improvise on the Array Mbira, showing you how the layout of the Array Mbira can be beneficial when improvising. I sat down without a clue what I was going to do and this happened. (final Improvisation at 2:20 mark) As I listened back to it I LOVED what became of it and I think its worthy of a true recording. Now to figure out what I played! lol. I do improvise sometimes just on my own, but not often. And definitely not in front of people. As you know, I enjoy doing familiar music on the Array Mbira. So this was a little scary for me to do in front of my YouTube audience. When you listen, do you see a caterpillar creating its cocoon, transforming within, emerging as a beautiful butterfly and then flying away? Thats what I see every time I listen to it. :-) You guys take care! Patti
