After getting fired from Anthrax in 1992, Joey Belladonna didn't just disappear, he ended up working on a horse farm, wrote nearly 20 basement demos, and built a scrappy solo band from local Syracuse musicians. The result was 1995's self-titled "Belladonna" album: a record critics praised for his vocals but slammed for a generic backing band, and one Anthrax themselves completely ignored for over two decades. In this video, we cover the horse farm era, the making of the album, the key tracks, how fans and critics reacted, and what Charlie Benante and Scott Ian eventually admitted about how they treated Joey during this time.
