Reuploaded for better image, footage from a friend on Facebook. Jo Ann Castle was a honky-tonk pianist on the "Lawrence Welk Show" for about ten years, between 1959-1969. While honky-tonk pianists aren't always viewed in a positive light by us ragtimers, some of their playing can benefit even the highest Joplin fan. This is her arrangement of the traditional jazz/ragtime foxtrot standard from 1921, "Sheik Of Araby".
