Dastardly Ford Sterling has drained a lake (!?) to stop Mabel Normand from getting married- who will save the day? The Keystone Cops of course! This klassic Kop komedy from 1913 has become early Hollywood legend: upon hearing of Echo Park Lake being drained as part of routine maintenance, Mack Sennett loaded up a car full of comedians and script writers and upon arrival told his actors to “make funny” for the cameras. Thus “A Muddy Romance” was born. Enjoy it here with my accompaniment!
