On February 28th 1970, Jim Steinman and Barry Keating auditioned The Dream Engine to Warner Bros. with the hope of recording a cast album. The deal never came to fruition (luckily for us or we'd never have gotten Bat...) but the audition was recorded, and here it is. Sadly, the quality is not the greatest but I've tried my hardest to restore it, and it's come out particularly well, with the vocals much clearer than they were before. I hope you all enjoy this rare look into early Steinmania!

I made this about four years ago, the quality is not always the greatest and all of the DisinHAIRited/Fresh Hair tracks are ripped from vinyl. Still, I dont think all of these songs have been posted on here before and this will be an interesting listen for Hair fans. When I created this compilation I tried structuring it almost like a sequel to the Broadway cast album, the full version from the 1990s. I should also add this is probably some of my favourite music of all time.
This is a Meat Loaf channel primarily, although it is intended for all my various collections in due time, with Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman being where I am most focused usually, anyway that rant can wait for another time, but despite the quality this is an interesting collection, there are other unused songs as well, see early draft scripts, enjoy!

I shall add a further description later, but this is my ultimate Steinmanic tribute to Bonnie. I had this idea in the works long before her passing, although I never got around to doing it. In my opinion what is presented here represents some of the greatest recorded music in history. I have specifically included If You Were A Woman to highlight Steinmans production and probably one of the best vocal performances by the dynamic duo of Eric Troyer and Rory Dodd (also Todd Rundgren).
Fun fact: If You Were A Woman had morphed into You Give Love A Bad Name by the time of its release, both songs were written by Desmond Child and YGLABN then came out only a few months after IYWAW...
