A faceoff has emerged in Jharkhand’s Godda district over bulk Form 7 applications seeking deletion of names from the electoral roll during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

Booth Level Officers have raised questions over applications submitted by BJP Booth Level Agents, while the BJP says filing such objections is part of its responsibility. The Jharkhand Chief Electoral Officer has said Form 7 objections can be submitted in bulk, but BLOs should not reject the forms themselves.
