This conversation circles around the belief that as a Christian I can understand Jesus more clearly if I can see Him through the eyes of the Hebrew Bible (the Old Testament). A book I can recommend on this is "Jesus Through Middle Eastern Eyes" by Kenneth E. Bailey.
