Claims that Jesus was copied from earlier mythological figures are weak because no single figure from antiquity closely resembles Jesus in a strong or complete way.
We can see examples of mythological or historical figures who share only small similarities with Jesus, such as healing, miraculous acts, divine origins, or ascension stories. However, these similarities are often vague, isolated, or very different in context and details. By combining selected traits from many unrelated figures while ignoring major differences, critics create an artificial comparison.
The main point is that historians are generally not persuaded by this method because similarities alone, especially when gathered from many separate sources, are not enough to prove that Jesus was invented or copied from pagan myths.
