Dr. Jerry Wierwille's presentation at UCACon 2022, of his paper "Applying Old Testament Yahweh Passages to Jesus: Recontextualization of Joel 2:32 in Romans 10:13".
In his paper, he argues "that Paul’s intention in quoting Joel 2:32 in Rom 10:13 is not on account of an ontological unity that exists between Yahweh and Jesus, but rather Paul understands that in Jesus, Yahweh is fulfilling all of his covenant promises and salvation purposes for both Jew and Gentile. Therefore, anyone who calls upon the name of the “Lord” (Jesus) will receive Yahweh’s promised eschatological salvation that is proclaimed in the good news (i.e., the message of trust) about Christ."
