Jeremy Penner is a game developer, host of the podcast Fringe Game History, and founder of the website Glorious Trainwrecks, a community for hobbyist video game creators. Glorious Trainwrecks is notable for fostering a radical approach to game development that encourages rapidity and originality over traditionally valued qualities such as polish, user-friendliness and commercial viability. For over a decade, Glorious Trainwrecks has developed a community with a unique sensibility and a penchant for unconventional subject matter. It has been home to such creators as thecatamites, Anna Anthropy, Terry Cavanagh, increpare, and Michael Brough. Penner was interviewed by artist and design researcher, Mattie Brice.
