I think this is a smart thing to do, and I am glad that started doing it.
At the convention «everlasting happiness» Jehovah Witnesses had a group a sisters checking the bags for potential dangerous objects.
When I was a Jehovah Witness, I was worried about the safety at the convention. When I aired the concern to the elders they just said «Jehovah protects his people» but that’s BS.
The JW do not have divine protection from crime in the Kingdom Hall. Crimes are committed both by l no nonbelievers and believers.
Finally the governing body implemented one of my suggestions. My current suggestion is that it should be possible to leave the Jehovah’s witnesses without being shunned.
This would be good for the organisation.
It would be better for JW to feel that they serve Jehovah out of love, and not because they are afraid of shunning. If Jehovah should be able to provide an answer to Satan, then he must allowed to leave without being punished.
As of today many JW are serving Jehovah, not because they love him, but because they are afraid of being shunned.
Dear governing body… I dare you to prove me wrong.
Remove shunning and increase love…. Then we see who faithfully will keep serving given the opportunity to leave
