This 4LP set 'Live in Cuba: Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra' includes engaging, expansive Jazz compositions that will keep you smiling from the moment you drop the needle. The 16 tracks use 12 different arrangers. While the "Latin Tinge" as Jelly Roll Morton called it, is central in the musical program, compositions are diverse and range from public domain tunes like “Baa Baa Black Sheep,” to Marsalis’ original compositions such as “The Sanctified Blues” and his ballad “Spring Yaoundé”, along with Ellington, Basie tunes and others.
