This 1962 masterwork release on Pacific jazz was recorded with patients at the Synanon Drug Center, where guitarist Joe Pass was being treated for addiction to heroin. He used a borrowed electric solid-body guitar for the recording. Musicians feature pianist Arnold Ross, trumpeter Dave Allen, baritone saxophonist Greg Dykes, bassist Ron Clark, drummer Bill Crawford and bongo player Candy Latson.
