Do you want to bring your website to life? In today's JavaScript project tutorial for beginners I will take you through a step by step process on how to create your first particle system on HTML canvas element. We will give particles physics (wind and gravity) and we will learn how to make particles bounce. Then in the second part of this tutorial we will set up collision detection with a regular website element, for example h1 title element, but it will work with any HTML element you choose.
Welcome to my JavaScript laboratory where we practice HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create all different kinds of interactive animated effects. That includes games, generative art, webdesign elements and much more. In each JavaScript tutorial I take you step by step through the code base as we build our project from scratch.
And that's not all, we don't use any libraries or frameworks so not only we build cool stuff, but in the process we also learn fundamental JavaScript techniques. These techniques are completely transferable to other kinds of front end web development projects and will help you to pass your coding interview and get your first programming job.
My name is Frank and I am a self taught Front End Web Developer. I learned everything I know in my free time from structured Udemy courses and YouTube project tutorials just like this one. If I could do it you can do it to.

There are a lot of videos teaching you the basics of programming, but how are we supposed to learn some of the more interesting effects. That's why I created this series, where we combine basic fundamental JavaScript techniques into creative coding experiments, generative art, games, animations for websites and more. For science of course:D

I have always loved optical illusions, they reveal interesting things about how our brain pieces visual input together to make sense of what we are looking at. I also like HTML CSS and front end web development in general and I have always wanted to create a project where I put these two things together. In todays CSS animation tutorial for beginners we will build our own optical illusion and make it into interactive animated background effect. We will learn how to animate gradients with CSS and how to use 2 uncommon CSS3 selectors - adjacent sibling combinator (+) and general sibling combinator (~). Have fun :D
