How do you start learning Japanese? Is one common question I get on the Japan Guy blog. While I cant lie and claim to be a Japanese master (maybe someday), I do know that the Genki textbook series is pure gold.
Genki 1: An Integrated Course in Elementary Japanese was the book was the first Japanese textbook that I used to start doing Japanese self study. Its also the textbook that made a REAL, lasting difference for me.

Tokyo Gundam RX-78 Statue [Odaiba, Japan 2012]
If youre a Gundam fan, this is an oldie, but a goodie. I had a chance to visit the Gundam
RX-78 statue when it was in Odaiba, Japan. The Gundam statues do change from time to time,
but this is the one I really wanted to see while it was still there.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, Gundam fans!
