This review is a Japan MRE or Japan Self-Defense Forces (自衛隊 Jieitai), or JSDF, occasionally referred to as JSF, JDF, or SDF, are the unified military forces of Japan that were established in 1954. It is designed for a single meal under conditions where there is time to heat the ration properly. I have been a huge fan of JSDF rations for their simplicity yet complex flavors. These rations, while illegal for sale in Japan these days, are extremely rare. I highly encourage seeking the few that remain in private collections as they are superb especially if you add the fixins I used with mine which are all available on the commercial markets in Japan and some local Asian markets that cater to Japan.
