Japan at War | Japan Advances And Ming Distrust - The Imjin War - Episode 49 @JapanatWar | Uploaded August 2021 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
Last time Konishi Yukinaga and the Left Army capture the city of Namwon, but Kato Kiyomasa and the Right Army were on the move at the same time. The goal was to sweep the region in a pincer like movement of troops, but in typical Kiyomasa vs Konishi fashion Kato Kiyomasa will be attempting to beat Konishi to take Namwon.
Also toward the end of this episode I'll be covering two examples of letters sent to the Beijing court showing the tensions that the Ming commanders were having with the Koreans.
0:00 Intro/Recap
0:19 The Japanese Advance
7:22 Ming Distrust
