regarding [sexual] violence in diary of a lonely girl - the threat of sexual violence is pretty constant for the narrator, but she also does experience men actively menacing her by kissing her and holding her without her consent & whilst there isnt a lot of description of this in part because the writing style focuses a lot more on dialogue [and that's how we find out about what is happening sometimes, like her recording that she said "stop kissing me" or something] it does still happen, although as far as the text expresses the narrator isnt ever raped. there is also some threat of state violence on the narrator but nothing comes to fruition, cops just lurk in the background being nefarious as usual. just something to bear in mind if you want to read it!!
