On April 6, 2024, JANM presented “Illuminating Paths,” its annual signature event that wove poignant lessons of our past with vibrant promises of our future. Awards were presented to Duncan Ryuken Williams and Sunyoung Lee of the Irei project and David Ono of Defining Courage, with performances by Kishi Bashi and East LA Taiko. Our special program shined a light on our community’s legacies and bright futures through stories of resilience, courage, and enduring community spirit. The winner of the 2024 Lexus Opportunity Drawing was also selected.
