sul sul, Alerii here! Welcome to the 1920s! African American culture is blossoming with the Harlem Renaissance, the shocking Flapper movement arises, and the up-and-coming silent films are the start of something great. I'm happy to make yet another part of this series! Janet Clemons is the star of this video and she is a dancer, entertainer and jazz pianist that I'll explain more about in the video! I would envision her playing someone like The Cotton Club, being one of the few black players there. I had a lot of fun researching and editing this video, I really love learning about history and this series is helping me to learn more, not only about the 1920s but history in general.
The timeline of my sims goes up in the 1910s so Dorothea's time was 1913, therefore, Janet's time is 1923! Sorry if my research is inaccurate at times, feel free to correct me in the comments.
This series will have about 10 parts. I will do a timeline of Sims starting at 1900 to 2000 (excluding 2010s since we are currently living in it) and I'll explain a little bit about the fashion and culture from that time. Janet is a 25-year-old woman born in 1898. I'm still bad at storytelling so I don't have a definite story for her, but it would be cool if you guys had suggestions or made one!
Side note: I am planning on new ideas for videos that you guys give me! Thank you for sharing them as I will note them down for future videos.
