Following the events where Joseph, Roger, and Nancy got Sara suspended from school, we see Jane donating Joseph's tablet to Sara, as instructed by the principals of both the special school and Johnson High School. Joseph doesn't want his tablet donated, but it happens nonetheless. Once Sara receives the donated electronics, she shares them with Alan at the park, and Alan is delighted for Sara that she is no longer suspended from school anymore. And they both knew that it was Joseph, Roger, and Nancy who were behind all of this.
