Winnipeg, Nov. 2, 2017 - Jane McAlevey is an organizer, author and scholar. She spoke at the Millennium Library about the need to move from mobilizing activists to organizing working people where they live and work. Her second book, No Shortcuts: Organizing for Power in the New Gilded Age, published by Oxford University Press, helps organizers learn how to do this. Her visit to Winnipeg was hosted by the Winnipeg Labour Council.
