I was noodling on my Poly D synthesizer since I switched it on for yesterday's video, when I came up with this cool riff that happened to be in a really weird time signature. So, I decided to try to recreate what I played by sequencing it on the ZOIA. There is a basic 19 step pattern that, with some clever logic, morphs a couple notes to fit a harmonic progression. The gate to the Poly D is always on, but some LFO and a bit of random modulation mess with the MIDI velocity (patched into the filter cutoff out the back of the Poly D). Then of course the synth runs back into ZOIA for some ping-pong delay and reverb for that added pizzazz.
