One of the eurorack modules I like in the modular synth world is the Turing Machine, so I thought I'd try making a similar thing on ZOIA! I started with a seven step shift register fed by a random module clocked by an LFO, but instead of the shift register looping onto itself, it runs through an in-switch. In this switch runs the end of the shift register as well as the random CV source mentioned prior. Depending on another separate clocked random module running into a comparator, the switch can bounce between the two sources to feed back into the top of the shift register, and depending on the value you set in the comparator you can choose the probability that the sequence will generate a new step. The rest of the patch is just a standard osc-filt-vca synth voice with a bit of modulation, running into the effects chain (with a super neat logic-activated ping-pong delay made with delay lines).
