This release highlights a particularly unique and lesser-known entry in the James Bond music catalog.
Presented here is an orchestral re-recording featuring select cues from Jean Baudlot’s score for James Bond: The Stealth Affair (also known as Operation Stealth).
Originally released in 1990 for the Amiga in Europe by Delphine Software—best known for Flashback: The Quest for Identity—the game was later rebranded with the James Bond license for its North American release by Interplay.
Despite carrying the Bond name, Baudlot’s score notably avoids any reference to the iconic James Bond Theme. As a result, this re-recording offers a distinctly different musical perspective compared to my other Bond-related projects.
This project also carries a personal connection. I have vivid memories of playing the game on my Tandy 2500 SX—along with making perhaps one too many calls to the 1-900 help line. Revisiting and reinterpreting this music has been extremely nostalgic!
Due to the game’s age and obscurity, licensing it for release on streaming platforms is unfortunately incredibly difficult.
