The Mid-Term Conference 2026 of the Jammu & Kashmir State Chapter of the Association of Surgeons of India (JAKASI) was successfully organised on August 22 and 23 at Hotel Zen, Leh, bringing together eminent surgeons, healthcare professionals and experts from across Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh and other parts of the country.
The two-day conference was organised under the leadership of Dr. Tashi Motup, S.N.M. Hospital, Leh, and provided an important platform for medical professionals to deliberate on contemporary challenges in surgery, healthcare delivery, patient safety, medical ethics and the growing role of technology in healthcare.
The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Laltinkhuma Franklin, IAS, Health Secretary, Union Territory of Ladakh.
