The Apex Body of Leh has decided to observe August 24 to September 24 as “Martyrs’ Month” in remembrance of the four young people who lost their lives during the September 24, 2025 violence in Ladakh, and to seek justice for the victims and their families.
As part of the Martyrs’ Month observance, the Apex Body will organise various programmes and activities and appealed to people across Ladakh to participate and show solidarity with the victims and their families.
The Apex Body also said that if the Judicial Enquiry Commission fails to submit its report, it will approach the Supreme Court seeking appropriate legal intervention and justice for the victims.
