This year, the Jaguars at Gaydon show celebrated the anniversaries of Le Mans, the XJ220 and XJ Coupé. This friendly and informal gathering featured hundreds of Jaguar cars from a wide range of different Jaguar Clubs and individuals.
Presented by Tim Watson – known widely as Our Tim – and organised by the by the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, this video features all of the cars from the show, plus arena highlights and the demo displays on the day.
To celebrate the Centenary of the Le Mans 24-Hour Race, the 1988 race-winning XJR-9 was be on static display, unable to run due to the fuel tanks being removed for servicing.
This will be joined by the two other cars in the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust's Collection with Le Mans history - the 1954 prototype D-type – OVC 501, which, while it didn’t race at Le Mans, did go there for testing in 1954, where it beat the previous year’s lap record, and the 1956 long-nose D-Type 393 RW which was driven to sixth place by Mike Hawthorn and Ivor Bueb.
To celebrate the XJ220, a number of owners, together with some of the team who worked on the design and development of the XJ220, brought the car to the british motor museum, marking 31 years of the model.
The XJS Club also held their National Day celebrations with an impressive display on the grass bank above the main arena. Our TWR-XJS will be firing up to celebrate, and we hope to have more information for you soon.
To mark 50 years since production of the XJ Coupé commenced, a dedicated area was reserved to display this famous model.
Presenting the Gaydon Jaguar Rally was Our Tim Jaguar Rally, who has presented hundreds of classic cars show, many at the british motor museum gaydon. The amazing celebration of jaguars uk included members of the jaguar breakfast club, making for a brilliant Jaguar Car Show. Please note this is not Moves Like Jaguar.
