Harnessing a staggering 600PS from a 5.0 litre Supercharged V8 engine, the Project 8 is the one of the most powerful road legal Jaguars ever created. Earning its rightful status of the fastest four-door car to lap the Nurburgring, it’s a rare beast that’s a force not to be reckoned with.
Total production numbers for the Project 8 were strictly limited to just 300 cars worldwide, with just a fraction of those destined for the UK. Each built in left-hand drive, every car was hand-assembled at the SVO Technical Centre in Warwickshire, England. The car you are looking at too, is the only example of a Project 8 available in this colour – an SVO Bespoke Green finish that was carefully chosen by the car’s only owner.
This 2019 (19) Jaguar XE SV Project 8 has covered a mere 100 miles since it was born and it has been kept as part of a private collection by its only owner from new. It is presented in immaculate condition, as to be expected.
This example is the more driver-focussed ‘Track Pack’ edition, which gets an enormous rear wing, no rear seats, a roll cage and a wave of Carbon Fibre components that ensures its focus on lightweight performance is delivered expertly. The overall image of this car, simply put, is a four-door race car without the number.
The loud and proud Jaguar decals spread the rear doors and rear wings and the big and bold SV logo sits atop of the bonnet, paired to a thin array of stripes. Its striking, bold and everything you’d expect a car of this nature to be. Its fantastic.
Inside, the Carbon Fibre racing seats are paired to Carbon Fibre trim running throughout the cabin, there’s alcantara aplenty and an exquisite finish with the white stitching pulling it all together. It’s both a familiar yet dynamic place to be.
