We recently went on vacation to Costa Rica for the first time and felt that Jaco would be a great jumping off point for us. Jaco is located on the Pacific coast side in the province of Puntarenas. It is the closest beach to San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica. Jaco has a walkable 2.5 mile long beach with dark brown sand and dark blue waters with many tall condos along the shore with amazing sunsets!
